The Necessity of an Enemy by Ron Carpenter Jr.

The Necessity of an Enemy by Ron Carpenter Jr.

"How the battle you face is your best opportunity."
This book is not just about how to defeat your enemies and properly put into perspective the adversaries you encounter in your life.  More than that, this book will bring you a message of hope.  If you need encouragement about our misfortunes are positioning you to receive a divine blessing.  "With God three is no pain without pain."
Important to know is that the book was written in the fall of 2011, during the worst economic climate of our lifetimes.  What began as a downhill spiral in our economic times in 2008, began a divine book written by Ron Carpenter Jr.
I am not sure why I read this book at this particular time of my life other than I am on a path of transition in my career.  I am going back to my Christian books to stay grounded on God’s words.
I am seeking an understanding of how God uses people coming against us and situation s hat are very negative can change everything.  The author, Ron, wrote this book after the FBI put him under investigation for possible criminal activity.  He asked himself, "How did I end up here?  Why is this happening to me?"
Here are some notes I took to remember:
In your time of transition your enemies are your stepstools.  Enemies are indicators to you that God is planning movement in your life and transition is right around the corner.  Your enemy will show up in the form of:
A person
A mindset
A situation
The enemy is the issue, between you that may be driving you crazy!  Fight the problem not the person.
You go through pain for the sake of promotion.  If you ever discover what people hate about you then will discover what is valuable about you.  Talk about thought provoking.
If someone like peace, they will withdrawal from conflict.
If a person wants security, the will get upset when changes happen.
Anywhere there is disappointment, you will find a root of false expectation for something to produce what is was not designed to produce.
Someone is expecting something that goes against the grain of the other person’s nature.

An enemy is someone who increase, strengthen, encourage, or enables an area of weakness in you that God want to remove for your life to glorify him.  © 2014 Jackie Paulson

Shadow Jumper by Karen Andor Book Review

Something woke him up in the middle of the night slowly starts to remember what happened that make him sore, black and blue all over his body. Dad had another of his bad nights. He lost a game of poker again. He would go to the local bar in town after work on Thursdays and play poker with his friends. He beat me for not wanting to eat dinner as it was an insult to not eat his mother's cooking, his family value.
The next day, the boy is told to get ready fast and jump into the truck to get to the farm to do his work. The father has a Jackal and Hyde personality due to his drinking. As they drive the boy is an expert at altering his state of consciousness to not feel the pain from the beatings of his father. The boys is an expert at altering state of consciousness to not feel the pain. This reminds me of when I was a child and if I did not like something or when I got a beating that I could take myself to another place in my imagination to escape.
The boy is forced to take orders from his father and rake and shovel on the farm. When Uncle Joe pulls up and asks what is wrong with the boy and the father tells a lie, "you know what boys are like, Joe. Always getting into scraps, I think he got into a fight with another kid."

Boy nicknamed a pig after the book, Wilber, his only friend. He can eat an apple he snuck and relax for just a little while as his father is working on the farm. He fed Wilber his apple to build trust. This brings him true happiness and daydreaming how to sneak him out not get slaughtered. Father catches him, and kills Wilbur and beats the boy. With all that said you can imagine that the author brings in the ego, the supernatural, daydreaming, and different stages that humans go to when they need to. It reminds me of all of the abused children in our world and how they have to cope with abuse from someone, and find a way to survive. This book is great for adults, kids, abused, and for anyone who wants to see the reality that could take place in a boy's life from childhood to adult and the many scenarios that can play out. Please ask questions, comment, or give observations below. © 2014 Jackie Paulson

Mrs. Wagstaff and the Awkward Accountant by Tabitha Tikkle Book Review

Mrs. Wagstaff and the Awkward Accountant (Mrs. Wagstaff's Erotic Adventures Book 2) [Kindle Edition]
Tabitha Tikkle (Author)

First off I am not a fan of erotica books but wanted to see what the author could produce with making the imagination go wild. Second, it reminded me of the book Fifty Shades of Gray book in that the erotica part could teach you things that you may not know about. My review is only one, and Gary Harp on Amazon is by far a book reviewer that everyone should get to know and read.
The opening of the book sets the stage where husband Harold Wagstaff the world's largest manufacturer of quality adult novelties died. Mrs. Jane Wagstaff then has to take on the business and keep it a success and she goes about it with her erotica and in great detail for the reader’s imagination. If you are into the graphic details of sex, and all that goes with it, then by all means take this book and run with it. Mostly, the male readers will want to pick this book up but then again a women into this type of fantasy erotic almost realistic story line could be a page turner as well. I really wanted to see what type of writing style the author had and what could be offered to my own desires. In the end, I was not disappointed at age 47, female with an imagination that actually enjoyed this type of reading erotic book. By all means, if you have questions, observations, or negativity please post it.

My Bangkok Story by Eric Lim

My Bangkok Story by Eric Lim

First let me share that the author asked me to be the first person to buy his book and review it for all of you. It is a pleasure as an experienced book reviewer on Amazon and other social networking sites to give you an overview of this book.
Back in 1966, news of a missing American from Bangkok on holiday in the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia hit the headlines. He disappeared without a trace and was never found. Back then, the name Jim Thompson meant little to me. Still that incident led to Eric Lim's journey to Bangkok. Right then I knew this was a book I wanted to read because of the compassion and passion that Eric had to find out more about what really happened. True stories area always a type of book most readers enjoy.
Eric Lim first arrived in Thailand in 1985, he was not sure where to live or what to do but had an intuitive notion to be there. In the 1990s as a visitor a Thai friend drove him around the city and we passed the Democracy Monument. As the trauma of Black Sept 1992 fresh into his being, he knew it was destiny to find out more. "So many people have died here. Why don't we learn from history?"
Finally in 2003 he met his dream by living in Thailand to learn about the landmarks in the city and the landmarks in Thai history. Thailand was never colonized and Eric Lim has often wondered how this European architecture ended up there? He wanted to learn about the monument and who and what it was for.

My research and travels have helped me to uncover the historical and cultural treasure. Eric Lim had no idea he would write a book about it. Eric Lim wants to share with you as he journeyed into a world that you may treasure as he has. This book and what he learned began Eric Lim's own website for the "Tour Bangkok Legacies" for all of the reader who wish to adventure into a world shared by my firsthand knowledge. © 2014 Jackie Paulson

Mastered Vol 1 Book Review

Mastered Vol 1

My first reaction is, Wow, this author has a great writing style!  The second is that she has a clever way of drawing her readers into the lines, into the story, into the lives of two people that share the exact same thing; unusual sexual desires.  This well written book drew me in like a flame does to a candle.  You will be able to use all of your senses, to feel each moment pass by.  Yes, as the pages turn you mind will not wonder because of the intensity of what the writer wishes to share.  You might be able to relate to parts of the story in a good way, as a learning experience like I did.  I learned that Missy Weaver and he past and present life are not so different.  I wondered why would she want a man to dominate her?  Why would she feel so much love for a man that was able to engulf her entire being, body-soul-and mind all at once.  It took one encounter for her to realize who she really was.

Quotes from the book:
"most enchanting, was the scent of your submission as you turned toward me; master."
"she had been summoned, pure and simple."
"she knew the instant she felt the magnetic pull of that enigmatic ma. A man she was clearly incapable of defending against  His eyes had imprisoned her."
"his goal: to establish mutual trust so profound that inter-dependency was something to be aspired, not feared and condemned."

If you love the dominance of a man to possess a women or Fifty Shades of Gray than this book will bring to you something you may not expect.  I wish to warn all who read this review that it is probably safe to say it is rated XXX.

K.L. SILVER writes erotica novels and XXX novellas.
She adds a psychological edge which will keep YOU on the edge of your seat!
Oh, yes - there's also a LOT of hot s-e-x!
"MASTERED" is K.L. Silver's first novel. She is currently working on the sequel.
The "ANGEL KNOTT" Trilogy is a series of XXX bedtime stories guaranteed to keep you UP!

MASTERED - A LOVE STORY OF EROTIC PROPORTION
This unorthodox love story sweeps you up in the erotic journey of MISSY WEAVER.
Deeply submissive but terrified of being labelled 'deviant', Missy buries her true nature. In its place, she constructs an unfulfilling but socially 'acceptable' half-life, where she exists in militant self-denial.
The story alternates between Missy's perspective and that of JAMES COLTON, whose unabashed Dominance leaves her knees weak and her mind reeling!
MASTERED delves into the rarely addressed psychology behind a D/s relationship. You will come to know and care about these 3-dimensional, multi-faceted characters. You will take a peek into the forbidden and oft-misunderstood world of BDSM
And finally, you will learn the truth.
This unique storyline will keep you whet, wanting - and begging for more!
